Oak Brook East Sky Night
The sky out our East window as I get ready for work. There's a "double Moon" because of reflection/refraction in the glass, and if you look close, a bright star is tucked in the cloud-glow of the Moon.

Massive Halo Around The Sun Over Naperville, IL Yesterday At Noon
A couple of pics that show this unusual weather phenomenon. This happens when there is a very high, thin layer of cloud filled with ice crystals.
I've seen the same effect with the Moon on a starry January night a few years ago. It made the Moon look like a glowing pebble dropped into the pond of the night sky.
